I have lived in Bloomfield for eight wonderful years and I love it here! My goal is to complete my degree in Criminal Justice Administration and to one day (in the very far off future) teach law enforcement at the college level.

I have an open door policy and will freely take complaints, investigate them, and return to you with a disposition. I will also advise my supervisor, the Mayor, of each complaint.

Changes under Chief Curtman:

Developed the KAT team which, in conjunction with other drug interdiction methods, led to the arrest of 19 in 2008, a record for the department.

Began the use of on-line continuing education for officers.

Developed the Bloomfield Police Explorer Program.

Increased the coverage hours of the police department by requesting that a raise he was budgeted for in 2007 be ear-marked for reserve hours instead.

Presented a program that would allow for a 4th officer in the department to extend coverage, and eliminate the need to consistently depend on reserve officers to cover regular shifts.

Implemented the Citizens Police Committee to improve relations between the general public and the department.

Upgraded the dog pound to get it in compliance with regulations.

Developed the George Greer Memorial Scholarship Fund.
